Nestled in the rolling hills of Petaluma, Flying Cloud Farm Kayla and John Joe’s wedding was pure magic. With golden sunlight streaming through the trees and vineyards stretching into the distance, their day was a perfect blend of elegance and laid-back wine country charm.

One of my favorite moments of the whole day was their first look. Under the shade of a grand oak tree, John Joe stood waiting, anticipation written all over his face. When Kayla tapped his shoulder, he turned to see his bride for the first time – his expression shifting from awe to pure joy. Tears welled up, laughter bubbled over, and for a few beautiful moments it was just the two of them.

Their ceremony took place under a canopy of oak trees, where they exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by loved ones. The open space near the font entrance of Flying Cloud Farm is the perfect size for 100 guests, giving me plenty of room to find the perfect angle while documenting the action.

From there, the day unfolded seamlessly. Family photos and speeches were a breeze, and the parent dances seem to make everyone’s eyes water, but when the sun went down, the dance floor lit up – and it never slowed down. From the first song to the last, guests packed the floor, hands in the air, singing at the top of their lungs. Whether it was classic throwbacks or high-energy hits, the celebration was electric, with nonstop dancing that carried well into the night.
