Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

Michael and I met at a mutual friends house. Joe told Michael to come over because he had someone he wanted to meet. We quickly bonded over Michael’s brother’s upcoming wedding. Since neither of us had plus ones, Joe suggested that we go together.

What makes your relationship special?

We always have the best time together, even when we aren’t doing anything. We just enjoy being together.

How did you know your partner was the one?

After about a month of knowing each other, I was going to move to San Diego. While we were driving, my car broke down. At that moment I was more excited about staying with Michael than I was about going.

Tell me about the proposal.

I had always told Michael I wanted to be proposed to on a dock while barefoot and he said no since it wouldn’t be a surprise. I knew Michael was having the ring made but told me it was going to take a few months. Later, we were fishing on the dock and Michael pulled the ring out of the tackle box and surprised me.

My diamond is from my step moms great aunt.

Describe your experience during our engagement session together.

We were both nervous about being comfortable during the photos but we had no reason to be. It was so easy and comfortable and we ended up having a great time. This also made the pictures turn out so much better as you can tell we’re having a good time.
