Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

We actually met our junior year of high school. Joe was the new kid that I actually did not like at all, but at some point that changed and we began dating.

What makes your relationship special?

I think what makes our relationship so special is our goofiness. We get all necessities done but still have time to be goofy with each other and have fun at all times with each other.

How did you know your partner was the one?

So Joe and I have been together for six years and I want to say about two years ago there was just a point where I was looking at him (while he was talking to somebody else) and I just pictured an entire future with him getting married, buying a house, having kids the whole thing. I can’t imagine my future without him.

Tell me about the proposal.

Oh gosh…So this day we were actually having a pretty busy morning we had bought a house and we were taking trips to the dump getting rid of all of the old wood from putting up a new fence. That week Joe was actually having a stressful time at work and he had been mentioning that he wanted to go to the beach over the weekend. Well we finish getting rid of all the garbage from the backyard and we showered and I’m sitting here and it’s like 3 o’clock and he says let’s go to the beach (mind you the beach is like a 3 hour drive from where we live). So me thinking ok he had a stressful week I’m not gonna say anything I answered ok well let me just get dressed I guess. So we go. I’m exhausted I didn’t want to go but I didn’t tell him that, but we finally get there and we grab the few things we brought, a bottle of wine and some snacks to have. We’re walking around and I keep saying oh do you wanna just sit here he keeps saying no somewhere else and we end up finding like this flatter and raised area on the beach that we sat on and we were just hanging out having a good time, then the sun starts to set. He says oh you should stand right there so I can get some good pictures of you with the sunset and so he tells me face the sun so I can get back shots so that’s what I do and then I finally turn around and he’s on one knee. He asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!

Tell me about your ring!

My ring is gorgeous! I’m sure everyone says that lol but a year prior to him proposing I had actually sent him a picture of this exact ring and I said this is the one when you’re ready. My ring has a very vintage feel to it … it’s just perfect.

Describe your experience during our engagement session together.

The experience for us was honestly extremely fun and very easy. We were both really nervous about doing an engagement session only because neither one of us have ever really been in front of a camera that way, but we ended up having an amazing time.
